About Shane
Shane is the Founder and Managing Director of SHD Care, a family-run NDIS provider on the Gold Coast built on one simple belief: people deserve better support than what the system too often delivers.
With a background in leadership, people management, and frontline support work, Shane brings a rare mix of structure, accountability, and genuine care to disability services. He has worked directly with children, young people, and adults with complex needs, including autism, non-verbal communication, mental health challenges, and high-support environments such as SIL and STA.
Shane is deeply hands-on in the business, not just behind the scenes, but in shaping how support actually shows up day to day. He’s known for calling out industry shortcuts, prioritising consistency over convenience, and setting clear expectations around professionalism, presence, and respect.
SHD Care was created to be the provider Shane would want for his own family: reliable, attentive, human, and values-led. One that listens properly, follows through, and treats participants, families, and staff with the same level of respect.

About Bronwyn
When Bronwyn was first asked by her son (Shane) to join him in the NDIS space as a carer, she was hesitant. She wasn’t sure if it was something she was meant to do, or whether she was truly ready to step into such an important and personal role.
That uncertainty changed the day she accompanied him to meet his very first client. From that moment, she was deeply moved. She met remarkable individuals and incredibly devoted parents, families who give so much of themselves every single day. Witnessing their strength, love, and trust opened her eyes in a way she hadn’t expected, and what began as hesitation quickly turned into purpose.
Supporting participants and their families, stepping in where help is needed, and offering care, understanding, and dignity has become profoundly meaningful to Bronwyn. The NDIS has taught her compassion at a deeper level and reinforced the power of community, patience, and genuine human connection.
Today, Bronwyn feels incredibly grateful to be part of the NDIS. What started as a cautious step forward has become a calling she holds close to her heart. She is thankful every day for the opportunity to support and walk alongside families, and for the privilege of being part of their journey.
